Hot Showers

The last time I was sick and took a shower, I was in Kiev, Ukraine staying in a hostel-esque ex-communist youth camp with ice cold water. I woke up this morning with a pretty bad sore throat, and NEVER have I ever been so thankful for a hot shower.

I cannot believe I am still learning and still growing from my experience in Ukraine.

Thanks friends! I'm trying to get better. I slept all afternoon, set up a constant tea drip, and have gotten close to nill homework done.

Tea is a perfect cure-all! :) I hope that it has you feeling better soon.
Isn't it awful to be sick on a mission? But it does make you thankful for little blessings like hot showers! Although I always had hot water... God knows my weakness! :)

I felt a sore throat coming on every morning my last week in Ukraine. And every morning I prayed God would give me the strength and health to be able to teach the kids to the best of my ability. And God is faithful! The sore throat came on my very last day in Ukraine, thankfully. Though it did make for a rather unpleasent 20 hour trek home (including layovers and flight delays).
